Language of the Heart

You see, we often mistake language for words. Take music for example; nowadays, we equate music to lyrics, which is like equating trees to paper. Language goes deeper than words and rhymes. Ask yourself, how many times do you jive to songs which you don’t understand…khonaaa….

If you look at our people, we rarely need words to make music because music is a language that cannot be confined in the boundaries of words and bars of stanzas. The howlin’ of the wind, the swaying of the trees, the stampin’ of our feet…they rhythms and the beats are the authentic first born twins of the language of music. #language

Connections are not made with the tongue, but with the heart. That is why you bop your head and slide your feet at the sound of the drum beat because it resonates with your heart beat. It has little to do with words or lyrics. Ashe!! #soulvibez
